Boldizar Wins Locus Sci-Fi Award

BC-based author Alexander Boldizar (at right) has just made literary headlines with his latest win: the 2025 Locus Awardfor Best Science Fiction Novel. The Man Who Saw Seconds(CLASH Books, 2024), beat out works by global heavyweights including Adrian Tchaikovsky, Cory Doctorow, James SA Corey and Jeff VanderMeer.

“I was pretty shocked,” said Boldizar. “My inbox has been exploding with inbounds from agents, publishers, translation requests, movie people, etc. This is what I was imagining 25 years ago when I quit the law to write. So sometimes dreams do come true—they just take a lot longer than planned.”
